Fenway CDC encourages partnerships that move the Fenway forward toward our goals. Since our inception, we have formed strategic partnerships to build housing, give residents access to jobs, provide services to residents, and plan the neighborhood’s future.
The Fenway is home to one of the densest concentrations of nationally and internationally renowned educational, medical and cultural institutions in the United States. In addition, a few private developers are engaged in redeveloping the neighborhood in ways that are largely consistent with our Urban Village Plan. Our strategic plan calls for partnerships with institutions and private developers that advance our respective goals and our shared vision for our community.
The impetus for these partnerships is an appreciation that we share a destiny: the greatness of our institutional neighbors would be compromised by a fractured and unstable neighborhood, and likewise the health and vitality of our communities would suffer if these institutions falter. This appreciation finds practical grounding in areas that include workforce and employer assisted housing, jobs, environmental sustainability, transportation and service learning.
